History

Find an older generation, reopen it, or clear it out for good.

Every chat you have ever run stays in your account until you delete it. The sidebar keeps the recent ones at hand; the History page is the full list.

Chats are grouped by when they were last touched: Today, Yesterday and Earlier. Each row shows the chat title with the module name underneath, so you can tell two counters apart without opening either.

Titles are generated from your first message, so a chat that opens with a clear description is a chat you can find again.

The History page

The full list, most recent first, twenty at a time, with the last update time on each row. Use it when the chat you want has fallen off the bottom of the sidebar.

Reopening a chat

Opening an old chat restores everything: the conversation, the files in the right-hand panel, and the ability to keep going. A follow-up in a chat from last month works exactly like a follow-up sent a minute after the first run.

Note

Your run configuration is not restored with the chat. The mode, tools and models in the composer are your current ones; check them before sending a follow-up into an old thread.

Deleting

The ... menu on any row offers Delete chat, with a confirmation. It removes the conversation and the files generated in it, permanently.

  • A chat with a live run refuses to delete. Wait for it to finish or fail first; deleting underneath a running job would break it mid-write.
  • Billing history is not affected. Charges stay in your ledger, which is what makes it a ledger.
  • Download first. There is no undo and no recycle bin.
