Account and billing

Usage and the ledger

Read your allowance, your balance and every line item behind them.

Billing & usage in the sidebar shows three things: how much of your monthly allowance is left, what your credit balance is, and every line item behind both.

The allowance card

On a paid package this shows runs used against runs included, a progress bar, how many are left, and when the period renews. On the free tier it explains that there is no allowance and points at the packages below.

Two states worth recognising:

  • Cancels at the end of this period. You cancelled; the allowance runs until the date shown, then stops.
  • Payment failed. The card was declined. Runs stop until it is updated in the Stripe portal.

The credit card

Your balance, and an estimate of how many more runs it covers. On a paid package the estimate uses the $0.85 overage price; on the free tier it says the balance is charged at what each run actually costs, because that number varies with the work.

Recent activity

The table at the bottom is your ledger: every credit and debit, with the balance after each. It is the record to check when a number surprises you.

EntryWhat it is
Welcome creditThe one-time grant on a new account.
Referral bonusCredit from a referral, on either side of it.
Credit purchaseA credit pack you bought.
Reserved for a runCredit held while a run is in flight.
Reservation releasedThe hold coming back after the run settled.
RunThe real charge for a completed run.
RefundMoney returned to your balance.
AdjustmentA manual correction, usually by support.

Tip

A reservation followed by a release and a smaller charge is the normal shape of one run. Read the balance column rather than counting the rows.

Runs, not tokens

Usage is counted in runs. Token counts are recorded for our own statistics but nothing reads them to allow or refuse work, so there is no token quota to manage and no reason to shorten a specification to save tokens.

Invoices and receipts

Payment records live in Stripe. Manage subscription opens the portal, where every invoice and receipt can be downloaded.
